About Urban Splatter
Urban Splatter originated in 2012 as a public journal of personal “architectural” creations from my highschool years. I then began posting other content from the web that I found interesting within the realm of architecture. I began working with my cousin David (profile below) to develop the website into what it is now. We learned the ins-and-outs of web-development through trial and error with Urban Splatter and many other websites. We have expanded our focus into art, furniture, engineering and urban-trend. Urban Splatter has expanded it’s growth in the last few years and will continue to change as opportunities arise, so stay tuned!
I currently hold a certificate in pre-architectural studies that I completed in 2016. I am currently working on my Professional Bachelors degree in architecture. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and I now get to actually live in the architecturally-renown city myself.
My name is David and I have a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and currently working on my masters degree as well. I am extremely interested in anything city related, transportation, roads, and traffic. Architecture and buildings are closely related to engineering, so between Justin and I, you will see a similar range in content. Running the Twitter and Facebook for Urban Splatter is a great challenge. If you decide to advertise with our website, you will work through me as I coordinate all advertisement/ affiliate deals.
Josh is a freelance writer also from the suburbs of Chicago but currently living/working in Yellowstone National Park. He enjoys architecture, but more specifically writing in general. He posts weekly and is a wonderful addition to our team.
