The World’s Tallest Waterslide Looks as Terrifying As It Sounds
Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City is getting ready to break a world record. Kansas City needs some fun due to it being in the middle of nowhere, so is it shocking they will now have the world’s tallest water slide.
The slide is as tall a 17-story office building. According to Schlitterbahn, the water park is building the tallest, fastest water slide in the world. The Verrückt (German for insane) Meg-A-Blaster is to be open on the opening day of next year.
Photos and videos have surfaced of the new water slide. These can show you how crazy the slide actually is. It includes a 17 story drop in a raft.
“Having the tallest water slide in the world is great not only for Schlitterbahn, but also for Kansas City,” said Layne Pitcher, marketing director for the park. This is a little true, as Kansas City is not known really popular in the world, let alone the United States.
How Verrückt, the World’s Largest Water Slide Will Work
Four-person rafts will basically fall down from the tower and over a five-story bump to slow down the raft. The ride promises not to give anyone wedgies as well.
Jeff Henry, Schlitterbahn co-owner and designer of the slide will announce the exact height and speed of the ride when the project is complete. It is already known that this slide will be higher than the current record holder, “Insano” at Beach Park in Fortaleza, Brazil, which is 134.5 feet tall and reaches 65.2 mph.
Would you ride this crazy water slide? You know many thrill seekers will come to Kansas City just to ride this thing, whether it is safe or not. I hope that this ride passes all its tests and trials before people actually go on it.
