This is not your average urinal. The water from the sink above is used for washing hands then drains into the urinal to flush your pee. It is a smart innovation to save water. The design also includes a glass sink bottom to ensure that you can still have sight of your peeing direction.
It is a smart design but I do not think it is very practical. The maker says that it will promote personal sanitation, because you must wash your hands to flush the toilet. I know that a lot of people will not do either, making more of a smelly mess! I guess that it would stop people from pooing in the urinals which I have seen. Well, actually then people can still poo into the sink part making more of a nasty scene. This would be a very smart option for sophisticated places where people will pay attention to their personal and environmental sanitation.
