Martin Solem the Norwegian designer created this shelter with the idea of simplicity in mind. He wanted to create a place inside a place were city dwellers can feel private while enjoying the company of others. Read more about the modern shelter below.
The polygon shape is very efficient. The furniture is made from wood and steel that can with stand harsh Norwegian climates. In addition, this piece of furniture has two functions. Also, the middle section can be lifted for a picnic table feel or left down for a lounge experience.
This furniture piece would be great for city parks or urban areas. I like the European design, it reminds me of Ikea furniture. I like that this table has a built in cover. It easily resembles a designer piece with its curvy look and unique shape.
Furthermore, imagine being able to just sit here and eat with your family and friends in this cool thing. I do not even think I would eat because I would be too busy checking the structure out. What do you think of this amazing piece of design?
Also, I think it is always cool when architects and designers think outside the box like this. The truth is that nothing in mother nature looks exactly perfect and so I believe that this is how we should see our design. This man definitely conveys what I am saying.
