Obama House In Chicago: The Serene Palace

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, own this home in the Kenwood community area of Chicago. It is situated in the 5000 block of South Greenwood. They paid $1.65 million for the Georgian-style home quickly after he became a senator in 2005. Read more about the Obama house in Chicago.

The house has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms with over 6,000 square feet. The house seems to have so much space. The Obama’s definitely had a lot of space inside and out to live and play here (maybe not as much as their next house did). The house is in such a nice and historic neighborhood. Their walk to Lake Michigan is not that far away either, maybe 10-15 minutes away.

The house is made of stone and features many historic pieces of architecture and art. The home looks like many homes on the south side of Chicago except for much bigger and much more pristine.
