The Water Tower in Leudelange Luxembourg

September 9, 2012

Architect: SchemelWirtz

Location: rue de la Poudrerie in the industrial area of Leudelange

Construction time: June 2005 to May 2008

Materials used: light concrete for the structure, curtain wall type for the cladding with filling in translucent glass fiber panels

It seems as though Luxembourg is advancing in their public building's architecture. I think that the US should consider their creative designs. What do you think? I never see any fire stations that even come close to looking like this one.

The tower alone is a superb structure with a spending budget of 8,300,000€ . Leveling at extreme height up to 58,10m (+384 m above sea level) and it overlooks the entire landscape.

The tower has 3 main functions :
- Water tower
- Fire fighting service
- Technical service
