The History and Architecture of The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is the tallest building in France composed of massive latticework structure. It is located in the heart off Paris, France. It is a landmark visited today by thousands of tourists and visitors to Paris.

The Eiffel Tower: An Architecture Marvel

The Eiffel Tower was built for the Paris Exposition of 1889. It had originally been built to be temporary, but it was kept because many thought its antenna for telegraphy would be useful. In the early 1900's it became part of the amazing International Time Service. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most visited sites in all of the world. The Eiffel Tower has had over a quarter of a billion people since it was erected. The Eiffel Tower at night is one of the best scenes you can see in the world.

The Symbolism of The Eiffel Tower

It is truly a symbol to not only Paris, but the entire world. Architecturally, this was a masterpiece when it was created and still is today. Many students of architecture and civil engineering use the Eiffel Tower as a real life example of their fields.
