The Atomium building was created for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. The overall design replicated a single unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. Lifts and escalators give access to the five bubbled areas where there is exhibits and public spaces for enjoyment. The top sphere provides a great panoramic view of Brussels.
