A City That Keeps It Weird

This beautiful city situated on the Colorado River is of course the capital of Texas. The skyline of the city is very spread out partially due to the fact of a height restriction on buildings in areas considered "The Capital View Corridor". Luckily for Austin, there has been a recent boom in skyscraper construction. It will be cool to see Austin's skyline in a decade from now because of all the growth that will occur.

Interesting Facts

  • Austin is the most southern capital city in the lower 48 states.

  • Austin's tallest building is called the Austonian. Its 53 floors come out to 683 feet.
  • Rated No. 2 "Best Places To Live" by Money Magazine in 2006
