Time Square's Architectural Landscape Changes

Time Square was originally called Longacre until the New York Times acquired an adjacent building. In fact there are 330,000 pedestrians that pass through the area every day, these include tourists and people that actually work in the area.

The traditional New Year's Eve crystal ball dropping event has been held at Time Square since 1907. The event is widely viewed on TVs across the nation.
