Recently, Australian design firm, Modscape created a concept house that will have you feeling a little uneasy once your inside. The company decided to make an edgy house that would allow for someone to live on the rigid landscape Australia offers. Just take a look at some of the pictures of the breathtaking house below.
The house is five stories and clearly offers breathtaking views of the ocean. Just imagine sitting on a porch on the bottom floor of the house with nothing underneath you but ocean. The house is held up by various reinforced steel beams that stick into the landscape/earth next to the building.
According to Modscape, the amazing house "is a theoretical response to clients who have approached Modscape to explore design options for extreme parcels of coastal land in Australia". The question, is this safe to live in is one that is probably being asked by you as you view these images. The answer is yes according to Modscape. The weight of the house is able to be held by the beams and the earth adjacent to it. The only thing one should probably worry about is a mudslide or earthquake. I don't know about you, but I would not want to be in there during those events.
