Julia Robert's home in Hanalei Bay

April 24, 2016

The property was built in 1917 on one of the largest private sections of land in Hanalei Bay, Kauai, along 200 feet of beach. In 1957, a tidal wave washed the main house to the back of the property. But because the top floor was left intact, the family decided to turn the top floor into its own house and continued to use the property until it was sold to Julia Roberts. Roberts left the property in its historic condition.

The estate is considered one of the biggest properties on Hanalei Bay, Hawaii at 2 acres. It houses both a main house and a guest cottage that has an overlooking view of the mountains. It also features a large yard that leads to the beach.
