Cool Ideas for Your Playroom That Will Have Your Kids Busy For Hours

July 6, 2019

Are you tired of your kids nagging you that they are bored and have nothing to do? Don’t you wish that they will just play nicely? Does your playroom need a change? Well, here are some cool and creative ways to transform your playroom to an inviting, warm, and fun place that your child won’t want to leave!

Marker Board Wall:

There are various ways to do this. You can buy at your local crafts store a big giant white board and a couple of markers. Hang it up and you’re done! For a more creative and sleek looking white board, you can buy some dry erase paint to paint the wall of your choice. This can make a great Sunday activity as well for your kids. Your children will love to scribble, draw, and even do homework on these boards.

Make Pretend Stations:

A Make pretend station is an awesome idea to have your kids in their own la-la land for hours. Get colorful bins on a low shelf. Fill each one with a few items that can help transform a kid to another world. Start with close to home characters that the kids will want to imitate most. If Dad is a male nurse who wears men’s scrubs get some children play scrubs, stethoscopes, nursing kits, and hospital accessories for them to play nurse. If Mom is a teacher, get them some books, pens, teachers role book, accessories, bags to make pretend they are the teacher. Of course, the marker board wall will come in handy. Continue with playing “Mom and Dad” which can include some kitchen toys, dolls, shopping carts, play ironing board, ect. Make sure you have their favorite movie characters as well in one of those bins.

Paint:

Although this will sound strange, room paint colors can affect the mood of the people in that place. So, the rule is the bolder + the brighter = the better. So, splatter paint in all different bright colors of the rainbow on a white wall. Thick stripes are cute as well. If you’re the creative, artsy type who has a bunch of boys, you can paint the wall with an outdoor look. Ceiling is blue with clouds, and the wall should have trees and woods all over. You can build an indoor playhouse for them or jungle gym if your looking to spend money. Polka dots in girly pinky colors are adorable for young girls. Stay away from black and gray paint.

Do Science Projects

Many children out there want to learn more about science and how things work. If you're looking for some ways to keep your kids busy at home, science projects are a great option. They're educational, interactive, and they can be done with small items! Entice them into doing their own projects with some fun hands-on STEM kits. This will also help them develop a lot of skills growing up.

Ball Pit:

“So Fun!” That is how kids generally react to a ball pit. The kids love throwing and jumping around in it. In your local toy store, you can buy the balls for a few dollars. A pit can be created out of all different materials. You can get a kiddie pool and fill it with the balls. Try interlocking letter play mats to create a cute and fun pit. You can use a play pan as well.

s To sum up, “Happy times are never ending when we’re playing and pretending”. Put yourself in your kid mode and have fun revamping your playroom. You will surely not regret it. You will hear no more “I’m bored” for the next while. So, what are you waiting for? Get started!
