Top 3 Architectural Wonders You Must See in Asia

February 18, 2020

Did you know that in 2019, 5,356,404 Americans booked flights to Asia?

If you're looking to visit Asia, you might be interested in checking out some of the fantastic architecture in the region. Yet, if you know little to nothing about Asian architecture, you may not know where you should go.

Here are three architectural wonders that you'll want to see, should you visit Asia. If you want to make the most out of your trip to Asia, these locations will help you get your money's worth.

Let's begin!

  1. The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is one of the most famous human-made structures in the world, let alone in Asia. Therefore if you want to see some amazing architecture, this is definitely something that should check out.

Now, it's worth noting that the wall is over 3000 miles long, and while you have the option to visit the majority of the wall, you probably don't want to.

It's because of this that you might instead want to visit a 'section' of the wall.

If you like the idea of visiting a section, you might want to visit a part known as 'Mutianyu.' This section is worth visiting, because it has been fully restored, and the views from this location are also impressive.

  1. Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is a stunning temple located in Cambodia, and in 1992 it became a 'Unesco World Heritage Site.'

A lot of the people that visit Cambodia make an effort to visit Angkor Wat, and so you might want to take some steps so that you can avoid the crowds.

Fortunately, if you visit early, you should be able to enjoy some peace and quiet. Plus, visiting early in the morning will also allow you to avoid the high temperatures associated with the afternoon.

  1. The Taj Mahal

Another location you might want to check out is the Taj Mahal, of which is in the city of Agra in India.

If you're going to visit the Taj Mahal, you will need to buy a 'ticket.'

There are different kinds of tickets, and each of them tends to provide a different experience. You'll, therefore, want to review what a ticket includes before you decide to buy one.

It's worth noting that there are many other attractions very close to the Taj Mahal. So, if you're booking a trip to the Taj Mahal, you may want to review some of the other things to do in the area.

Will You Visit These Asian Architectural Wonders?

If you're planning a trip to Asia, you should definitely visit the architectural wonders we've covered in this post.

Of course, Asia is a massive place, and there are many other locations you should check out in the region. In fact, you'll probably need to make multiple trips if you want to experience all the fantastic architecture that Asia has to offer.

Now, traveling to Asia can be a rough experience as the flights can be long, and certain regions don't have the best form of transport. Yet if you can deal with these issues, you'll be able to witness some of the most breathtaking structures in the entire world.
