Johnny Cash House: Memphis Cottage

Johnny Cash was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born in Kingsland, AR on February 26th, 1932. Much of his music contained themes of sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption. Furthermore, he was known for his deep baritone voice. He was also famous for his all-black stage attire. Additionally, his clothing choices garnered him the nickname, "The Man in Black". Some of Cash’s famous songs include "Folsom Prison Blues,"I Walk the Line," and "Ring of Fire.” Furthermore, in 1968 Cash married June Carter. In 2005 the movie Walk the Line was released. The movie detailed his life, career, and marriages. Additionally, it starred Reece Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix. Sadly, Cash and Carter both died in 2003. The front yard has full green trees, with a nice carport at the front of the driveway. Additionally, the interior of the home includes a fireplace, as well as living and dining rooms. Furthermore, there are six rooms in total in this home. Cash’s first home was located in Memphis, TN. Memphis is a city along the Mississippi River in southwestern Shelby County, Tennessee. Furthermore, Memphis landmarks include the Rock 'n' Soul Museum, Blues Hall of Fame, and Stax Museum of American Soul Music.
