Dorothea Puente House: Sacramento Murder Hosue

Dorothea Puente was an American convicted serial killer. She was born in Redlands CA on January 9th, 1929. In the 1980’s she ran a boarding house for elderly people. Additionally, she would cash their social security checks. She then cashed them for herself. Furthermore, she would murder her tenants when they started to grow suspicious. In 1988 she was charged with a total of nine murders. All her tenants she murdered she buried in her backyard. Dorothea received life without the possibility of parole. Furthermore, in 2011 she died in prison of natural causes. She was 82 years old. Check out the Dorothea Puente house below.

The house has five bedrooms and two bathrooms with over 1,000 square feet of space. This was a multi-family home built in 1968. The home allows for one parking space. There is ample street parking out front. Additionally, the parking space sits securely behind a gate. The front of the home features stone stairs leading up to a classic front porch.  In 2011 the home was purchased at a public auction for $215,000. Since then, the new owners have turned it from a multi-family home, into a single-family home. They also added an inlaw apartment. Furthermore, at times the new owners have even opened their homes for tours. The home is located in Sacramento, CA. Sacramento is the capital of California. Furthermore, there is a population of 524,943.
