Emily Dickinson was an American poet. She was born on December 10th, 1830. She had a brother named Austin, and a sister named Lavinia. Dickinson lived most of her life in isolation. Many of Emily’s poems dealt with themes of death and immortality. Furthermore, after her death in 1886, Lavinia found her cache of poems hidden in her bedroom. Her first collection of poetry was published in 1890. Emily suffered from headaches and nausea, as well as difficulty breathing.
