The show follows the day-to-day activities of alligator hunters living in the swamps. The show first aired on the History channel on August 22, 2010. Additionally, Troy has grown up in that lifestyle, as the son of a fisherman and seafood distributor. He also has his own alligator hunting and crawfish business. Furthermore, he has been married to his wife Bernita since 1981. Together they have three sons, Chase, Brandon, and Jacob. All of which appear on the show Swamp People.
