What are the Advantages of living in a Glass Tower Downtown?

May 20, 2022

The pandemic has changed the way of life of many. After going through lockdown periods, some decided that it was time to get out of the city and bought new homes in the suburbs, where they could be closer to nature. But there are still advantages of living in the city center, in these big glass towers that we pass by, every time we go to work, or to entertain ourselves. Here are some of them.

Lots of Natural Light

Glass towers are unique in the way the light gets into your rooms. Thanks to a glass facade system, it enters into your home, from floor to ceiling. This is important for our well-being, as it helps us to remain in a better state of mind. It is also crucial to the way it lights the room and the objects in it. It can also help us save on electricity. People who have lived in a glass tower before find it hard to live in houses where there are rooms featuring only a small window. It is like heading on a cruise ship in a cabin with a balcony or one with a porthole. The difference is not small, to the extent that some people cannot travel inside the second one.

Being Close to Everything

When you move to the suburbs or to the country side, you get closer to nature and you enjoy more space. However, you also move away from everything else, which can become difficult, especially if you are young or for the children of the household. When you live downtown, you can enjoy all that life has to offer, at a walking distance. Theaters and the biggest cinemas are always located there. Some of the best restaurants in the city as well and the largest variety of cuisine available, for sure. Feeling like doing a little shopping? You probably only have to get to the main floor and start right there.

Most of the services that the city offers, as well as governments offices, are mostly located downtown too. If you need to renew your driver’s license or get a birth certificate, you won’t have to walk too far. You can certainly find work in the city centre as well, since it is where most offices are located, and there are so many service businesses, that you can also get a job in one of them. All of this enables you to walk wherever you are going, without having to take the car. In fact, unless you drive out of the city often, you don’t need one. You can go down from your apartment, and head straight into the subway, in order to travel around.

It is better to be close to work than to travel back and forth to the city every day. You spend less money on gas or on public transport, but mostly you save a lot of useless time, spent travelling from one point to the other, which will necessarily become heavy to support at some point.
