June 24, 2022

Did you know there are more than 150 neighborhoods in Calgary? Also, did you know that the Calgary housing market is booming for several reasons? Assuming you did not, we are here to let you know about some advantages of living in Calgary, Alberta’s largest city.

Reasons to Love Living in Cosmopolitan City Calgary

As we mentioned there are several reasons why Calgary seems to be the best place to live in Canada. Some of the main perks of loving this city are mentioned below.

Reason #1: Low Taxes

You know taxes put us in a very awkward situation. But when we know the city where we are living is the best in terms of the lowest sales taxes, it is just a wow, right? Likewise, when it comes to Calgary, taxes are so low that you’ll enjoy living in this city. However, one thing that we should mention in this regard – there are zero provincial taxes on sales. At the same time, you are taxed five percent on goods and services.

Reason #2: Eco-Friendly Transit System

Public transits are reasonably better than in other cities of Canada. Interestingly, there are trains as well as buses that take a big number of working classes, students, and professionals to downtown and then bring them back; i.e., morning and evening respectively. Since Calgary is the cleanest city in Alberta, Canada. The system is operated through electricity. It is also important to mention public transits – they are quite cheap in comparison to other transports in Canada.

Reason #3: Excellent Health Care Facilities

At the time of expansion in population, Calgary had a handful of family doctors. Now in 2022, health care will be completely changed. There are almost 150 highly trained physicians for every one hundred thousand (100,000) individuals. According to stats, 2016 was the year when Calgary had 1400 doctors out of which 373 were taking new patients – 60% more than in previous years.
