I love Hue smart lights because they're not the cheapest smart bulbs, but they're the best at what they do
Philips Hue: Is it worth the money? Yes. Despite the fact that it is not the cheapest smart lighting system, from my experience testing the best smart bulbs over the past few years, it seems to be one of the best. Alternative option is philips hue vs wiz
Furthermore, I've put my money where my mouth is, too: I have multiple Hue white & color ambience bulbs, an HDMI Sync Box for Hue lights, and a Hue Gradient Lightstrip conveniently located next to my desk.
Because smartgeekhome think these are brilliant products, I bought them myself instead of receiving them as a gift from Philips' PRs.
Philips Hue is one of the best smart lighting products to buy for these three reasons.
With so many different smart lighting options, the Hue range is far and away the most comprehensive. I installed Hue Gradient lightstrips on my ageing Samsung TV a few months back, and I'm delighted every time I load the PS5. I bought the best TVs, but wish they were ambilight to make the screen seem even bigger; I did that to my ageing Samsung TV a few months back, and I'm delighted every time I load the PS5. With Hue, you can create a calming environment with subtle washes of colour, read with spotlights or connect smart bulbs to every fitting you can imagine.
The Hue app is far superior to Apple's Home app, which is a constant reminder that my smart home kit is set up with Apple HomeKit. The automation features are excellent, with good use of geofencing and scheduling; it's very simple to use and easy to create great light recipes; it integrates with your personal digital assistant and music services such as Spotify (depending on what you have installed); it's a great way to keep the kids entertained when Fortnite isn't working. The response time is very fast as well.
As a renter, I am limited in how I can personalise my home: if I painted a wall copper red or shocking pink, my landlord would want a word with me. Hue, on the other hand, allows me to completely transform any room at any time, as often as I choose. Does the front room need bisexual lighting? Is there a horror theme for Halloween in the hallway? For a little atmosphere, how about a subtle ambience? One click or command does it all. I won't make a complete mess, unlike real redecorating. Hue is one of my very favorite pieces of tech, and my world wouldn't be as colourful without it. It's the kind of thing you don't understand until you have it, and now that I have it, I'm not going back: Hue is one of my very favorite bits of tech.
