Who was Rodney King?

Rodney King was a victim of police brutality. Furthermore, in 1991 he was beaten by the LAPD during an arrest. The brutal beating was filmed by a bystander. His name was George Holliday. George then sent a video to the local news station. The four cops who attacked King were tried in court. On charges of excessive force. Furthermore, this event led to the 1992 LA Riots. The riots lasted for six days, with 63 people killed. In 2012 King released his memoir entitled The Riot Within: My Journey from Rebellion to Redemption.
