The population of Arizona continues to grow as more people look for pleasant climates and beautiful scenery. Often, tourists visit Arizona, then fall in love with the warmth of the desert and the unique mountain scenery. In Scottsdale, AZ, new home sales continue to rise as the people have found several reasons to move there.

1. Affordable Cost of Living

While many areas in the Grand Canyon State and around the United States have increased in price, Scottsdale continues to be an affordable place to live. Average home prices in Scottsdale are less than coastal areas and big cities like Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami. Families have found Scottsdate affordable, especially since they don’t have to worry about winter expenses like heat, plowing, and winter clothing. The beauty of buying an affordable home in Scottsdale is that the value is sure to increase as more people flock to the lovely area.

2. Plenty of Activities

Scottsdale has plenty of family-friendly activities. Many people visit Scottsdale for vacations, so the area is covered with impressive resorts with luxurious pools, gardens, and restaurants. The community also has plenty of public parks and pools to stay cool when the temperatures rise. With so many colleges nearby, Scottsdale residents can take advantage of cultural activities like concerts, art shows, and plays. Residents also appreciate the plethora of shopping areas that feature local shops and restaurants.

3. Mild Weather

In the summer, Arizona gets hot, but during the rest of the year, the weather is comfortable and mild. Surprisingly, some areas of Maricopa county have seen light snow. Many people move to Arizona after spending their lives in northern states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The warm weather draws retirees who do not want to worry about snowy winters.

4. Big City Events

Fans of professional sports have plenty of reasons to enjoy Scottsdale. The town is close to Phoenix, which is home to professional baseball, football, and basketball. In February and March, half of the Major League Baseball teams come to town where they enjoy spring training. The ticket prices are a fraction of the regular season games, making these games popular with residents and tourists alike.

The area is also home to many well-groomed golf courses. It is also the home of the Phoenix Waste Management Open, which is a zero-waste sporting event. The area is also home to several annual events, top-notch restaurants, and impressive art galleries.

5. Nearby Tourist Destinations

A popular reason to move to Scottsdale is its proximity to other tourist destinations. Many people find Scottsdale while on vacation in the area, and they appreciate how close the community is to places like Sedona, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon. Mexico is a short drive away and so is Joshua Tree National Park, Las Vegas, San Diego, and the Colorado River.

Scottsdale is just outside of the Tonto National Forest with Scenic Byway 88 and the Superstition Mountains. The area is filled with unique destinations for horseback riding, wine tasting, and Native American cultural tours.
