Here are some of the best places you can't miss on your next Alta vacation.

1. Hogle Zoo Utah

It is outside Salt Lake City and hosts creatures from around the world. You will find both big and small, furry and feathered animals here. Some of the animals here include Ostriches, zebras, giraffes, and lions, all located at the African Savannah exhibit. In the Rocky Shores exhibit, you get to see polar bears, sea lions, seals, and even grizzly bears.

There is also the Asian Highlands exhibit which is home to snow leopards, tigers, Pallas cats, and Siberian Lynx. In the Elephant Encounter exhibit, meet the largest mammals and learn a little more from the experienced keepers.

The zoo has other smaller exhibits, all interesting in their own ways, with primates, apes, sloths, reptiles, birds, and amphibians. Take advantage of the Oasis Plaza, Conservation Carousel, the Zoofari Express train, the cafes, and the Lighthouse Point Splash Zone.

2. Collins Ski Lift

This ski lift offers breathtaking aerial views of the powdery snow below as you go up the mountain. Once on top, you can decide to ski down the slopes or enjoy another ride down on the lift; it all depends on what you have pictured for a fun-filled day.

The transportation system, which was the second in the world to offer the chairlift, after Sun Valley, attracts a fee but is usually quite affordable at 25 cents. You have the option of paying for one ride or an all-day package. It dates way back and has gone numerous changes, but it remains among the most iconic lifts in United States skiing history.

3. Temple Square

Mormon Church's most significant buildings are located on this expansive square. Its landmark is the tall spirals which fascinate all visitors coming here for the architectural and historical heritage. Apart from the sacred Mormon buildings, Temple Square has a domed tabernacle, a neo-gothic temple, and a Latter-day Saints Church headquarters.

In summer, the flowerbeds and gardens are a sight to behold and will relax you entirely. The reflecting pool located at Main Street Plaza is also an inviting spot you must see while here. Temple Square opens daily, and the public transport options are handsome.

4. Evermore Park

This theme park is not your usual park; it has trained actors portraying fantasy characters as the major attractions, contrary to the usual rides. The only ride you will find here is the small train traveling around the park. Guests, also called World Walkers here, are invited to interact with the actors, asking them all kinds of questions regarding the backstories.

You can take up a role and choose quests in which you are willing to partake. Evermore Park is where you must visit while in Alta if you love costume plays and wish to be part of the excitement.

5. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

Are you looking to visit a rainforest, admire coral reefs and explore ocean depths? Loveland Living Planet Aquarium awaits you! This family-friendly attraction has sea horses, penguins, sharks, and stingrays. Thousands of animals from different species are housed here.

You will get a chance to see them all and learn a few things all under one roof, and within a few hours, for that matter. Besides all the animals from different ecosystems, there are cafes, educational programs, and ample parking. Explore and discover all the amazing things the aquarium has in store for you on your next vacation here.

7. Solitude Mountain Resort

This is a Europe-inspired village great for shopping, eating, drinking, and sleeping. The ski lodges and hotels here offer amazing accommodation, and together with the adventurous sports, make the resort a good place to be on vacation. The charm and magnificent scenery here will relax you in no time; the culinary experiences, on the other hand, will awaken your taste buds in ways you never thought possible.

After all the skiing, enjoy the valleys, mountains, and forests with vivid green shades. Lake Solitude will also be waiting for you to experience some rainbow trout fishing, or you can choose to challenge your brain at the 18-hole mountainside golf course.

8. Deer Valley Resort

This is another popular place you must visit while in Alta, Utah. It is famed for its deep powder skiing, international cuisines, and luxurious accommodation options. If you love adventure sports, stunning sceneries, and excellent service, this is the resort you should seek after.

The ski terrain spreads across six mountains that are interconnected; it is no wonder that the Winter Olympics are held here. Apart from skiing, you can try snowmobile tours, sleigh rides, and dog sledding. With award-winning bakeries, cafes, and restaurants, you can be sure that your dining needs will be taken care of.

9. The Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City, Utah

The ultimate holiday shopping experience is waiting for you here. This mall has more than one hundred retail outlets, and recent changes allow more social gatherings, nightlife, and dining experiences.

The shopping center makes it possible for you to do all your shopping from reputable brands like Victoria's Secret and, at the same time, tantalize your taste buds with the variety of food available in the food court and restaurants.
