Beverly Hills has cemented its reputation as the home not only to the rich but also the celebrities. The famous people's houses in Beverly Hills have inspired both awe and admiration with their prime locations and beautiful architectural designs. This is the reason why this place continues to attract more and more celebrities to establish their homes here.

 

So who are some of the known stars who lived in this luxurious neighborhood?

 

1. Bruce Springsteen

 

Bruce Springsteen is music industry legend regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time and a "rock 'n' roll poet". He is a multi-awarded musician and has won multiple accolades from major award giving bodies including the Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, American Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Brit Awards, and many more.

 

He has been a long time residence of Beverly with current address at 1244 Benedict Canyon Drive.

 

2. Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart is another music legend who lives here. Although originally from the United Kingdom he was able to make a name for himself in the US as well as globally. He has won numerous awards both as a singer and songwriter including a number of Hall of Fame awards.

He currently lives at 391 N Carolwood Dr.

 

3. Michael Jackson

Another music legend, Michael Jackson, known to all the King of Pop lived in Carolwood Drive as well. He was a multi awarded singer, composer, dancer, and producer. He is also regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.

Right before his premature death, he owned and resided at 100 Carolwood Drive.

 

4. Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe may be regarded as the most famous celebrity who lived in Beverly Hills. She was a multi-awarded actress and film legend. She was also hailed as an icon of popular culture and as one, many experts agree that her popularity has but a few rivals which includes another music legend, Elvis Presley, and Mickey Mouse.

She was a resident of 141 Carolwood Drive and her home has over 12000 square feet, features 9 bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms. She was found lifeless in his very house on the 4th of August 1962. Following her controversial death at a young age of 36, her home was put on sale and has attracted many popular figures. The home was owned by Joseph Schneck (the owner of Fox), Tony Curtis, Burt Reynolds, and the fabulous Cher!

 

5. Cher

Cher is another popular music and cultural icon who lived in Beverly Hills and as mentioned, she was the former owner of the great Marilyn Monroe’s home. Cher is referred to as the Goddess of Pop and has earned a number of awards for both her contributions in the music and film industry.

In addition, she also owned an iconic mansion located at 2727 Benedict Canyon Drive. The property includes a Moroccan-style house with 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms. The mansion was later sold to another popular celebrity, Eddie Murphy.

 

6. Elton John

Elton John also known as the “Rocket Man” is a music legend and cultural icon. He is a multi-awarded singer and songwriter. His accolades include multiple Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Academy Awards, and many more.

He used to own 1400 Tower Grove Drive which was originally owned by John Gilbert, one of the popular actors during the silent film era.

 

7. Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most iconic filmmaker and most influential film figure in the history of cinema. He is regarded as the “Master of Suspense” and has garnered numerous awards for his expertise in filmmaking.

He was a resident of 10957 Bellagio Road home located just opposite of the Bel Air Country Club. He lived there for most of his life from the year 1942 until his death in 1980. The home is currently owned by film scriptwriter, Jim Hart.

 

8. Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher will forever be remembered for her portrayal of the role of Princess Leia in the globally successful film franchise, The Star Wars.

The home at 1700 Coldwater Canyon Drive was originally built for film actor, Robert Armstrong, who was known for his role in the 1933 RKO Pictures version of the movie King Kong. The home was later owned by another film legend, Betty Davis, before finally sold to Fisher.

She lived in this home until her unfortunate passing in 2016.

 

9. Madonna

If the King of Pop lived in Beverly Hills, it is not surprising that the Queen of Pop lives here as well. Madonna is a multi-awarded singer, songwriter, actress, and producer. She has built a career that spans decades creating a legacy that transcends music. She is regarded as the master of viral pop in history and this was long before the internet was even created.

Her home was at 9425 Sunset Blvd.

These are just some of the famous people's houses in Beverly Hills and many would agree that this iconic place will continue to attract celebrities.
