Geraldo Rivera is a television journalist and author who has been involved in some of the most high-profile stories of the past few decades. He began his career as a news reporter for WABC-TV in New York City, where he covered stories such as the 1968 Democratic National Convention and the Kennedy assassination. In 1970, Rivera opened his own investigative news bureau, which led to him landing an exclusive interview with terrorist group the Weathermen. He later went on to host his own talk show, Geraldo, which aired for 11 seasons. Throughout his career, Rivera has won numerous awards, including an Emmy and a Peabody.
