Believe it or not, there are a few cities in Arizona that have higher than average crime rates and are generally considered to be unsafe. 1. Phoenix

Property crimes are also a problem in Phoenix, with a rate that is 30% higher than the rest of Arizona. Overall, Phoenix is considered to be one of the most dangerous cities in the state.

2. Tucson

Tucson is another city with a population of over 1 million people. It also has a crime rate that is higher than the national average. Violent crimes are particularly prevalent in Tucson, with a rate that is 60% higher than Arizona's averages. Property crimes are also an issue in Tucson, with a rate that is 20% higher than average. In general, Tucson is considered to be a dangerous city where crime is concerned.

3. Yuma

Yuma rounds out this list as the third most dangerous city in Arizona. It doesn't have as high of a population as Phoenix or Tucson (the population is just over 200,000), but it does have a crime rate that is significantly higher than both of those cities. The violent crime rate in Yuma is 80% higher than the rest of Arizona, and the property crime rate is 40% higher than average. All things considered, Yuma is definitely one of the most dangerous cities in the state.
