In recent years RV (recreational vehicle) travel exploded in popularity, as it is a great way to move your family closer to the outdoors.
Exploring the wealth of the national parks, wildlife reserves, and scenic roads the United States has to offer becomes very attractive to the next generation of RV lovers.
In this article, I will try to show you, the person on the edge of becoming an RVer, how great RV camping is. I will go through the benefits it offers and all the things you can look forward to.
Read on to find out why RV camping is, in my mind, the superior form of enjoying your holidays, yes, even to the hotel resort holiday.
RV camping helps to strengthen your family’s bond

In today’s career-oriented world, spending quality time with your loved ones becomes harder and harder.
The working times are longer, the meetings are taking place later, and missing the family dinner is more frequent than any of us would like to admit.
Enjoying the weekends and holidays with loved ones and to the fullest becomes a priority on many to-do lists.
One of the best ways to spend quality time with your family is to spend it outdoors. The United States is one of the countries with the most national parks and national parks in total area in the world, so why not use it right? RV camping is here to save the day (and your sanity).
Spending a weekend with your loved ones on the road to your next adventure is one of the best ways to strengthen your family’s bond. I know I loved it as a child and my kids love it now. This article gives you a few tips for camping with kids.
So, what are you waiting for? Get out there, your family will thank you later.
RV camping allows for a closer connection with nature

It’s a great feeling to fall asleep to the sounds of the forest, but camping in a tent may feel too close for many of us.
Add potential sore back from sleeping on the ground, cold weather, or the ever-present bugs to the equation, and we’ve got ourselves a holiday many of us would avoid.
RV camping offers a great alternative to counteract all the negatives of tent camping.
You can bring anything you need for a comfortable holiday with you, including, but not limited to, a bed, climate control, a coffee machine, and a toilet, and get protected by the RVs walls, all the while being at nature’s doorstep.
Now that sounds like a great deal, to me at least. 😊
RV camping gives you ultimate flexibility and freedom

Does staying in the same spot while on holiday sound like a nightmare? Would you prefer to pack everything and move to a different location every few days?
Great, because RV camping allows you just that. You could easily stay on a beach one day and in a forest the next. Or anywhere you like, for that matter.
If the flexibility and freedom excite you, then RV camping is the right option.
RV camping is cheaper than a hotel
If you have ever spent a holiday in a hotel, then you know it’s a pretty expensive way of spending your free time, even more so if you are traveling with your kids. And with extra perks like a beachfront hotel, sea view, or a nice balcony, the price will rise even higher.
With RV camping, most of these are not an issue. There are many RV campgrounds that are either directly on the beach or in the forest, and while these command some premium over the other campgrounds, they are still more affordable than a hotel equivalent.
While the average daily hotel room rate for example in Miami (in June of 2022) was $370, you could rent a Class C RV on Outdoorsy from $145/night. Even with insurance and rising gas prices factored in you are still looking at decent savings from this holiday in Miami.

RV camping allows you to bring everything you love with you

Whenever I am on holiday, I eventually miss my favorite things and my home.
I miss my pillow, I definitely miss my coffee machine, my favorite coffee mug, my kids miss their toys, it gets nasty. And if you are anything like me, you do too.
And this is what RV camping takes care of. You can bring many of your favorite things on your RV holiday with. No more bad coffee, yay!

Your furry baby doesn’t have to stay at home

One of the main reasons we stopped taking holidays in a hotel was that we all missed our beloved dog.
Most of the hotels straight up don’t allow pets in, and even if they do, we would have to fly my dog across the country, which we don’t want for her.
Now that we go camping in our RV, it’s a different story. Our dog is always with us, she gets to witness all of our adventures, and she enjoys the great outdoors as much as we do.
RV camping gives you a platform to meet new people

Now, this totally depends on your preferences, but if you like to meet like-minded and friendly people, then RV camping is definitely for you.
RV campers are a very tight-knit community, most of which are very mature and open-hearted people that like to help each other.
Also worth mentioning is that most of the RV campers you meet like outdoor adventures, nature, hiking, and spending time with their loved ones, just like you or me.
I can honestly tell you, you most like will make friends for life among the RV community, if that is what you are after.
In conclusion
From sleeping in your own bed and using your own bathroom to avoiding the stress of the airport and the noisiness of a hotel, RV travel removes the issues you face with traditional travel.
With an RV, you simply jump in, and off you go. RVing will give you and your loved ones some of the most precious memories you will remember forever. If you have never done it, give it a try, and never look back.
