The 4-mile-long public greenway is a popular spot for people who like to walk and get exercise while enjoying nature. The path starts from Willow Street and ends at Mohawk drive and follows South Mouse Creek throughout its length.
It has several attractions, including three pedestrian bridges over Mouse Creek. Future plans include extending the trail to the Village Green Town Center and the Hiwassee River in Charleston.
The Cleveland/Bradley County Greenway was created as a vision of a group of local citizens who were committed to providing a recreational venue that would appeal to all. It started as a quarter-mile strip between 20th and 25th streets in 2001 and was funded through grants and donations from local businesses.
Chilhowee Mountain Overlook
For a beautiful view of the Ocoee River and surrounding mountains, visit Chilhowee Mountain Overlook. This classic Tennessee overlook is a great place to watch the sunset or bring a picnic to enjoy with friends.

To reach Chilhowee Mountain Overlook, drive up Oswald Road off U.S. 74 and stop at one of the three paved parking areas.
If you’re into hiking, a seven-mile hike to the Chilhowee Recreation Area will give you plenty of opportunity to take in some breathtaking views. The park features several overlooks where you can catch a glimpse of Parksville Lake (also known as Lake Ocoee) and the Cherokee National Forest.
Another popular spot is the Sequatchie Valley, a deep cut in the Cumberland Plateau that extends from near Crossville to Dunlap. On the south side of the valley, State Highway 111 crosses and there’s an overlook where you can get a glimpse of hang gliders taking off.
