Puckett’s is a family-owned eatery that has been serving Southern staples since the 1950s. The chain currently operates six locations in Franklin, Nashville, Columbia, Chattanooga, Murfreesboro and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. They also plan to open a seventh in Cullman, Alabama in late 2022.

The place is known for its live pickin’ performances and classic southern BBQ. It’s a laid-back spot that feels more like a community kitchen than a touristy restaurant. It’s a great place to stop for a meal while in town. It’s not too loud or overcrowded, so you can enjoy the music without feeling overwhelmed.

Hattie Jane’s Creamery

Hattie Jane’s Creamery is a restaurant that makes some pretty awesome ice cream. The menu features creative flavors that rotate on a regular basis, plus a few staples such as Chocoholic and Tahitian vanilla.

The ice cream is produced on-site in small batches that are designed to ensure quality. The store also sells a variety of waffle cones and other house-made treats such as hot fudge and caramel syrups. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. If you are looking for the best ice cream in Columbia, this is a must try!

Lime & Loaf

A local kitchen shop and a community gathering spot, Lime & Loaf is a chef-curated “kitchenarium” that offers practical high-quality goods for cooks and bakers. It also hosts weekly cooking classes and a gluten-free grab-and-go style cafe.

Columbia’s historic downtown district is chock-full of one-of-a-kind restaurants and shopping options. Located 45 miles south of Nashville, Columbia makes for an exceptional day trip when you’re in the area.

The recently renovated New South Marketplace is home to a number of unique shops, each independently owned and operated. Some of the more unique ones include Needle & Grain, Grinder’s Switch Winery, Little Juice Co., and a few more!

Factory at Columbia

The Factory at Columbia is a 71,000 square foot building that houses an eclectic variety of stores and restaurants. Its funky vibe makes it a one of a kind shopping experience and the perfect spot to take in live music.

The establishment is a great place to shop for unique gifts, vintage finds and more. It also provides a cool atmosphere for dining and wine tasting.

The restaurant was originally opened in 1976, and the owners Jason and Jennifer Dubinski decided to move it to a new location on Broadway. They gutted and restored the historic Stephens building, which was built by MU graduate E. W. Stephens and housed his publishing company.

Bleu 32 Vintage Marketplace

Bleu 32 Vintage Marketplace is a 12,000 square foot store filled with antiques, boutique items, jewelry, greeting cards, and finds from over 30 vendors. This shop is located just off the historic downtown square in Columbia, tn.

This is a great place to grab a cup of coffee, or maybe a lunch. They have a wide variety of different menu options, including gluten-free, peanut-free, and tree nut-free items.

Southern Exposure

It’s been a long time since the water main was turned off at the venerable Southern Exposure, but the reopened shop is back in business with a bang. Owners Matt Muehlbauer and Andy Kenney have spent the better part of a year renovating the old edifice to include a bar on the ground floor to boot. The new place has a bit of everything including a full menu, a large beer garden and a wine list with a high end selection of bourbons to boot. Those seeking an adventure in the great state of Tennessee should stop by and see what all the buzz is about.

Vintage Winery

Vintage Winery, also known as Farmstead Cellar & Tasting Parlor, sits about 45 minutes south of Nashville in historic Columbia. This boutique tasting room in a 1930 Esso ServiCenter is home to wines from Tennessee’s Crown Winery and Pullen Mill Farm & Vineyard.

Whether you are looking to sip a glass of wine or enjoy music and special events, Vintage Winery is the place to go! They offer a variety of live music and local food trucks on Fridays and Saturdays.

Downtown Columbia is in a state of revival with charming shops, cool eateries, fun events and artistic vibes. Located about an hour south of Nashville, Columbia has been voted one of the best small towns in America.
