The largest lake in the state, Lake Guntersville offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages. From the 18-hole championship golf course, to the Screaming Eagle Zipline and a beach complex, you'll find plenty to keep you busy here.
It's also home to an ever-increasing nesting bald eagle population. Thanks to the efforts of conservationists, the park has become a mainstay in Eagle Awareness programs, entertaining and educating people on Alabama's once-endangered national symbol.
2. Whole Backstage Theater

There are loads of different activities to do in the winter here, from ice fishing to horseback riding to snowmobiling. There are even some winter hiking options where you don’t need boots – you can wear special snowshoes that attach to your shoes.
