things to do in livermore

If you’re planning a trip to Livermore, there are plenty of things to do. The city is home to several wineries, and many other attractions as well.

If you want to learn more about the history of the area, check out Ravenswood, a historic estate that is open for tours. Docents dressed in period garb lead these free tours a few times a month.

Wente Vineyards

Located in the Livermore Valley, Wente Vineyards is a great place to visit if you’re looking for wine tasting. You can find a variety of different wines here, and the prices are affordable for everyone.

Aside from tasting the wine, there are a few other attractions to check out while you’re there. You can also enjoy a meal at the restaurant or shop at the store on site.

The vineyard itself is beautiful, and it has a lot of personal touches that make you feel like you’re visiting a friend’s home. It’s a small winery, so you might want to make reservations if you plan on tasting there.

Wente Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery that’s been around for 130 years. It’s considered the “oldest continuously operating, family-owned winery in the United States.” The fifth generations of the Wente family continue the winemaking tradition. They own and operate vineyards in two different regions – Livermore Valley and Arroyo Seco – both of which are known for producing some of the world’s finest wines.

Brushy Peak Regional Preserve

Brushy Peak Regional Preserve is a great place for a day of hiking, biking, running, nature study, and dog walking over the park's scenic trails. It is part of the East Bay Regional Park District and the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District and is located north of Livermore in Alameda County.

The preserve is a beautiful area with many different plant and animal species to see, including spring-fed ponds that are home to amphibians and reptiles. It is also home to scattered stands of coast live oak and California buckeye trees as well as colorful lichens that cover the rocks these higher elevations.

A short loop trail begins at Laughlin Ranch, passing by several small ponds and then climbs to a pass that leads to the top of the mountain. The peak itself is a beautiful place to visit and offers incredible views over Livermore Valley.

Lizzie Fountain Park

Livermore is a charming and bustling city in the East Bay region, known as "The City of Happiness." This beautiful town offers a range of things to do.

There are plenty of family and community parks where you can relax under shady trees, such as Lizzie Fountain Park in downtown Livermore. This fountain is a popular place for children to run around and cool off on hot summer days.

Aside from a free water fountain, Lizzie Fountain Park also features a large splash pad. It is a great place for families to have some fun together, and there are plenty of benches underneath the shaded trees to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

The town also boasts world-class amenities like the Cineworld cinema, a fabulous Nuffield Health gym and a Tenpin bowling alley. Plus, there's an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and pubs. It is also home to the famous San Francisco Premium Outlets and the Bankhead Theater, which hosts concerts, opera and symphony performances.

Downtown Livermore

Downtown Livermore is a vibrant, culturally rich and historic neighborhood. With a number of attractions, restaurants, sports facilities and shopping opportunities, it's a great place to spend the day or night.

The area is home to one of the oldest wine regions in California. With a variety of wines to choose from, Livermore is the perfect destination for anyone interested in tasting the world's best grapes.

A great way to experience all that the Livermore Wine Country has to offer is with a tour on the Livermore Wine Trolley. The trolley runs daily and will take you to three of the region's top wineries for a fun day out.

You can also get a taste of the local arts scene. The Livermore Art Association, located in one of the city's most historic buildings, is a great place to discover works by local artists.
