things to do in lodi

If you're planning a trip to Lodi, CA, you'll want to make sure to check out the city's many attractions. From wine tasting to dining, there's something for everyone!

For those who love the great outdoors, a visit to Lodi Lake Park is a must. Located in the heart of the town, it's a beautiful place for picnicking and outdoor water activities like kayaking or jet skiing.

Wine Tours

Lodi is one of California's most exciting wine country destinations. It is a region that has been rediscovering its rich heritage and producing world-class wines that rival the best that California has to offer.

A trip to Lodi wouldn't be complete without a visit to a few of the top wineries in the area. The region was recently named the “wine region of the year” by Wine Spectator, and it is easy to see why.

Several of the wineries in Lodi have beautiful tasting rooms that make you feel like you are in a different place. For example, Harmony Wynelands has a full-scale theater organ that you won't be able to miss.

Oak Ridge is a family-owned winery that has been growing grapes in Lodi for five generations on their own vineyards. They have a small but charming tasting room and a relaxing patio where you can sit back and enjoy your wines. The staff is great and they tell you a lot about the wines you try.

Wine and Chocolate Weekend

The Wine & Chocolate Weekend is an indulgent two-day affair that celebrates Lodi's renowned wines and decadent chocolate pairings the weekend before Valentine's Day. This year's event features over 40 wineries perfectly pairing their varietals with decadent offerings from local chocolatiers.

Tickets to the event are just $65 and include your event wine glass, a chocolate treat, event map and guide, and admission to 50+ participating wineries. You'll also receive an entry into the "Golden Ticket" drawing for over 100 prizes!

Guests can sample food delicacies such as grilled tri-tip sliders with port reduction sauce at Estate Crush, cherry port chocolate ice cream at Heritage Oak Winery, grilled chocolate ganache sandwiches at Drava Wines, and more. Guests will also enjoy live music and a sensory challenge!

Van Ruiten Winery will be serving up s'mores on Saturday and Sunday. They'll also have a Kissing Booth" so if you're star-crossed, be sure to snap some photos! They'll also be offering barrel tasting on both days.

Parkwest Casino

Parkwest Casino Lodi is a great place to spend a night out with friends. It offers a wide variety of gambling options and a spacious dance floor, making it the perfect place to have fun and unwind.

The casino also has a 6 table poker room where you can play NL Texas Hold'em cash games and tournaments. It offers a range of different limits for all players, from beginners to professionals.

The poker room is also one of the best places to go if you want to try your luck at a game of Pai Gow Poker. This Chinese-inspired card game involves both luck and strategy, and it's a great way to relax while you gamble. The casino also has free wifi so you can stay connected while you're playing. You can even use the casino's website to check your balance, view your account history, and make deposits or withdrawals. You can even use this site to earn player rewards.

If you’re a wine buff, the annual Lodi Row X Row (formerly known as ZinFest) is the ultimate tasting experience. The three-day event features a selection of over 250 wines from Lodi’s finest vintners.

For those who love the outdoors, the city of Lodi offers plenty of outdoor fun, including golfing, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing at its scenic lake. Biking is also a popular pastime, with more than 23 trails to choose from.

Lastly, the town has another claim to fame: it’s the birthplace of A&W Root Beer, which boasts an award-winning floater and memorabilia museum to boot. There are 1,100 locations in the U.S., and visitors can enjoy the novelty of sipping on a floater while perusing memorabilia that traces the history of A&W in Lodi from 1919 to present day. The best part? It’s all free. The aforementioned is just one of the many things to do in the Zinfandel capital of the world.
