Butcher Block Restaurant

Butcher blocks are specialized wood cutting surfaces made from short pieces of wood that stand side-by-side and are bonded together to form a checkerboard appearance. These boards are thick and rugged to withstand the heavy blows from meat cleavers, making them ideal for commercial butcher shops and home kitchens.

Butcher Block Restaurant is the creation of Tom D’Ambrisi, who owns a meat-distribution business in the same building as the restaurant. He teamed up with interior designer Dean Bruno to transform the space.

Located across the street from Plattsburgh City Hall is the Macdonough Monument. This 135-foot obelisk is dedicated to the US naval commander who won the Battle of Plattsburgh in 1814.

Country Dream Farm

At Country Dream Farm you’ll find a variety of interesting and fun activities for all members of the family. In the fall, get lost in their corn maze or get up close and personal with one of their many farmyard animals. In the winter, there are horse-drawn sleigh rides on offer as part of the Adirondack sleigh rides phenomenon.

Aside from the corn maze, their other notable offerings include a petting zoo, mini golf and a surprisingly large library of books on brewing a fine brew.
