Vallejo, CA is a city with a rich history and lots of things to do. From waterfront promenades to budding art communities and great restaurants, this San Pablo Bay city has it all.

The Hub

Vallejo is a city located 45 kilometers northeast of San Francisco and is full of engaging attractions that you can check out while you're in town. You can explore the area's history, visit popular local hangouts, and even take a day trip to Fisherman's Wharf.

The Hub, located in Old Town Vallejo, is a community center for the arts. It hosts a variety of art and craft workshops and classes and is home to many local artisans.

If you are a wine lover, you will definitely want to try out the Vino Godfather Winery. The Vino Godfather is a well-known winery that produces some of the best wines in the region and they are available at affordable prices.

You can also check out the Alibi Clock, a historical piece of evidence that proved the innocence of two men in the 1916 San Francisco parade bombing. This clock was found at the site of the attack and is an interesting piece of history that you should definitely check out while you're in Vallejo.

The Mare Island Art Studios

The Mare Island Art Studios is an art collective that consists of 19 artists ranging from sculptors to ceramacists, mosaic and mixed media, photographers, printmakers, portraitists and potters, textile artists and many more. They have an eclectic collection of works that they display in the gallery portion of the 8,000 square foot building.

The studios were founded in 1999 by artist Tim Rose and they are located on the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard in the coal sheds. It has been a creative hub for the artists since then, with individual work spaces and the gallery portion of the studios open to the public for Vallejo Open Studios, Guest Artist Solo Shows and other art-related events.

One of the most popular projects is a Bay Area public art sculpture exhibit known as the Mare Island Artyard, containing temporary installations that are on display through mid-November 2022. It's a fun and educational way for residents, businesses and visitors to learn about Mare Island, and it's a great example of a community-oriented public art initiative.

Western Railway Museum

The Western Railway Museum is located in Solano County and is a great place to visit if you are interested in learning more about trains and trams. You can learn about how California contributed to the development of these transportation systems and see how they functioned in different places around the country.

There is also a train that you can take for a ride in the Napa Valley that will give you a chance to sample some of the best wines from this area. You will also get to experience some of the scenic countryside that makes Napa Valley so special.

Another unique place to visit in Vallejo is Eddie’s Slot Car World which is a small business that provides visitors with the chance to have a blast and play slot cars. These little mini cars are so much fun and you can even race them on a track!

You can also take a trip on the San Francisco Bay Ferry which is one of the best ways to travel to Vallejo. This trip will allow you to take in some of the best views of Alcatraz, Angel Island and East Brothers Island along with some other amazing sights.

Vallejo Plaza Shopping Center

Vallejo Plaza Shopping Center is a great place to do some shopping. It features a cinema and 36 shops.

You’ll find some big names here, including Michaels and Office Depot. The mall also has an award-winning sushi restaurant.

It’s also home to the fanciest coffee shop in Vallejo, Red Ribbon Cafe, which serves delicious treats in an attractive setting.

This mall is a popular destination for visitors from the Bay Area and beyond. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for something to do in the morning or afternoon, as well as some entertainment options for the kids.
