Celebrity Kitchen Sets - Where is the Kitchen Filmed?

where is the kitchen filmed

If you’ve ever been to a movie or TV set, you know it takes a lot of work to bring the sets to life. And with personality-driven cooking shows, it’s important to make the kitchen look and feel like the chef’s personal space.

Normally, the kitchens on these shows are filmed in a studio. But in 2020, when the world was on lockdown due to a COVID virus, the cast cooked their favorite meals via Zoom.

Geoffrey Zakarian’s Kitchen

Geoffrey Zakarian is a chef, restaurateur, author, philanthropist and television personality. He is known for appearing on shows like Chopped and The Next Iron Chef.

He also has a number of restaurants throughout New York City and Florida, including The National Bar & Dining Rooms in New York City and Tudor House at Dream South Beach in Miami. He has also opened restaurants aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines vessels.

On this episode, Geoffrey invites eight chefs to his home in Florida to see who has what it takes to run their own restaurant. He invests $250,000 of his resources in each chef to determine who has the potential to become a rising star in the restaurant industry.

During the course of each episode, Geoffrey and his wife Margaret and former executive chef Eric Haugen put the competing chefs through grueling challenges that test their culinary skills and their leadership capabilities. They also get to know each chef on a personal level so they can decide who has the most potential.

Jeff Mauro’s Kitchen

Jeff Mauro, winner of Season 7 of Food Network Star and one of the four co-hosts of the long-running show The Kitchen, lives in River Forest, a suburb near Chicago. He owns a home in the neighborhood, and he spends time with his wife Sarah and son Lorenzo at home.

The Chicago native has made a career of cooking in restaurants and performing on stage. He combines his love of comedy and food in his Food Network series, Sandwich King, as well as The Kitchen.

He also hosts the new Food Network primetime competition show Kitchen Crash, where chefs go door-to-door to find a home willing to share its pantry and fridge ingredients with them for a chance to win $10,000.

He said filming the episode at his house was "exhausting." He used multiple iPhones and iPads, as well as a laptop for Zoom conferencing with his co-hosts Sunny Anderson, Alex Guarnaschelli, Katie Lee and Geoffrey Zakarian.

Sunny Anderson’s Kitchen

Sunny Anderson is a popular celebrity chef on The Kitchen. She has been on the show since the show started, and she is loved by her fans for her unpretentious personality and passion for cooking.

Before she became a television chef, Anderson was an Air Force broadcast journalist. She traveled the world as an Army brat and indulged in the local cuisines while she was traveling.

The Air Force taught her how to be disciplined and organized, which helped her in her career as a chef. She also learned that she has ulcerative colitis, a chronic disease that prevents her body from breaking down certain foods.

To help combat this issue, she avoids leafy greens, corn, fruits with skins, and red and green bell peppers. She also stays away from tomatoes and cucumbers, as they tend to irritate her system. She has even been known to avoid certain fruits altogether. Thankfully, she has found several recipes that help her live healthier.

Marcela Valladolid’s Kitchen

In her new cookbook, Valladolid warmly welcomes readers into her Southern California home. The longtime host of Food Network’s Mexican Made Easy has a deep understanding of great Mexican food, combining freshness and flavor with simple techniques.

She also reflects on her childhood growing up in Tijuana, and how her heritage informs her culinary career. This book is the chef’s most personal collection of recipes yet.

Valladolid, who has three children, grew up in a family that cooked. She began her culinary career by helping her aunt run a cooking school in Baja, Mexico. She later studied at the Los Angeles Culinary Institute and the Ritz-Escoffier Cooking School in Paris.

Throughout her cooking career, Valladolid has cultivated her own unique style of cooking. She combines her classical training with her love of Mexican cuisine to create dishes that are both healthy and delicious. Currently, she co-hosts the cooking-themed talk show The Kitchen. She also writes several cookbooks and has a tequila line.
