Jeff Tremaine is an American showrunner, filmmaker and former magazine editor who is best known for his work on the Jackass franchise. He has been involved with the series since its inception.
The Jackass franchise was created by Tremaine, Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville. The series ran on MTV from 2000 to 2002 and was famous for showcasing dangerous stunts. Its cast performed such actions as riding office desks down ramps, jousting on BMX bikes and sledding in shopping carts.
Before Jackass, Tremaine had worked as an editor for skateboarding magazines such as Big Brother and GO. He was also a BMX rider.
Tremaine met Johnny Knoxville while working on the Big Brother magazine and encouraged him to participate in the Jackass series. When the show first aired on MTV, it immediately gained popularity and won several awards.
He directed and produced many of the films in the Jackass franchise. He has also worked as a director on other projects.
Aside from his work with the Jackass franchise, Tremaine has also directed and hosted the WWE Network's Loiter Squad and Angry Skies. He also directed the Motley Crue biopic The Dirt.
Jeff Tremaine has been married to Laura Tremaine since 2007. The couple has two children together. They live in a house in Los Angeles, California. The house is located in Laurel Canyon. It has six bedrooms. Its total size is 7,555 square feet.
