Linda Rose Carotenuto, who was born on November 24, 1949 in Jersey City, New Jersey, is an American civil servant and a key figure in the 1998 Clinton Lewinsky scandal. She served as a White House employee for President Bill Clinton and was instrumental in secretly recording phone conversations between Monica Lewinsky and President Clinton.
She was married twice. Her first husband was a military officer and she had two children with him. They were together for 19 years and divorced in 1990.

Linda went to school at Hanover Park High School in East Hanover, New Jersey. She also attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Montclair.
Work History:
After graduating, Linda worked as a secretary at the Army Intelligence in Fort Meade, Maryland. She later transferred to the public relations office in the Pentagon. She took a yearly salary of $20k.
