Summer vacation while in college can sometimes mean different things: travel, taking extra classes, or doing a summer internship. Why not combine them all and spend your summer studying abroad?
Summer abroad programs in Italy offer students the opportunity to not only enjoy time experiencing a new culture and integrating into a local community, but also the chance to have an internship or learn new subjects. Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) is a great place to study abroad thanks to its wide range of courses and internship opportunities.
Take Classes through Study Abroad Summer 2024 in Florence
Students taking classes with SRISA have a wide range of subjects they can choose from. Subjects include everything from Photography and Creative Writing courses to Fashion Design and Art History courses. You can also take Italian classes alongside your other courses. This will help you to feel more like part of the local Florentine community and help you better understand your new home.
SRISA is different from other summer schools in Florence. One of the benefits of studying at SRISA is that classes don’t just take place in the classroom. Professors utilize the city of Florence as an extended classroom, taking advantage of this amazing city, once home to great artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli, as a learning tool. Just walking the streets in Florence is a great education in architecture and renaissance art! Most courses integrate on-site visits to museums and exhibitions and at times require day trips.
Study Abroad Summer Internships
SRISA offers summer internships in Florence in their offices and also helps link students with other local businesses. An internal internship at SRISA is great for students looking to gain practical experience in marketing, curating, social media and photography. Internships at other local businesses can be arranged depending on your skills and availability. Past students have had internships in art galleries, art museums, and graphic design studios amongst other places.
What are the dates of the program?
SRISA offers two different summer terms: Summer A runs from May to June and Summer B runs from June to July. You can also come for both Summer A and B if you’re looking to extend your time in this great city.
Taking classes abroad or having an internship in Florence during Summer 2024 is a great way to move forward both in your studies and/or your career!Learn more about how SRISA can help you make the most of your summer on our website: https://srisa.org/study-at-srisa/programs/summer/ .
