where is hawaii five o filmed

Hawaii Five-O is one of the most popular TV shows in history. It was filmed on location throughout the islands and had a lot of local actors.

The show had some very beautiful backdrops that made the scenes look great. It was also authentic, as most of the characters were locals who had to learn their roles as they went along.

Waimanalo Beach

Waimanalo Beach Park is one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on Oahu. With soft white sand, crystal clear blue waters, and stunning mountain views, this beach is the perfect spot for a relaxing day in the sun.

A grove of prehistoric-looking ironwood trees help to provide shade for the nearly 3-mile long stretch of beach. The beach is also home to small shore-breaking waves, perfect for body surfing or boogie boarding.

Kualoa Ranch

Kualoa Ranch is a 4,000-acre ranch that serves as both a recreational and agricultural enterprise. It is located on the northeastern part of Oahu, 45 minutes outside of Honolulu.

This pristine property has served as the backdrop for many Hollywood movies and TV shows. From Jurassic Park to Godzilla, Kualoa Ranch has set the stage for some of the world’s biggest blockbusters and popular television series like Hawaii Five-0.

Waialua Coffee Plantation

Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Waialua Coffee Plantation is a small, 155-acre coffee farm owned and operated by Dole Food Company Hawaii. It grows Arabica Typica Coffee in rich volcanic soil, with a warm sub-tropical climate bordered by dramatic mountains and tempered by the rolling Pacific surf.

The lands where the farm is located were once home to one of the largest sugar plantations in Hawaii. After the plantation closed in the 90’s, Dole began a diversified agricultural program to revitalize the land. The resulting product list includes tropical flowers, papayas, mangoes, cacao and coffee.

Ford Island

Ford Island is one of the most popular film locations in Hawaii. It is seen in many movies and television shows including Hawaii Five 0 and 50 First Dates.

In a recent episode, the cast of the show used the location to explore Honouliuli internment camp. This was a shameful part of Hawaii’s history that had been forgotten by most.

Barber’s Point Naval Station

Barbers Point Naval Station, formerly known as Marine Corps Air Station Ewa, was a naval base on the west coast of Oahu. The former Navy airfield was closed in 1999 and now serves as a film and television studio for the Hawaii State Film Office.

During World War II, Barbers Point was one of the busiest airfields in the world. It housed a large military community and was a vital staging area for ships carrying supplies to the front lines in the Pacific Theater of War.

Ala Moana Beach Park

Ala Moana Beach Park is an open space with a wide stretch of sand. It is a popular beach and park in Honolulu, Hawaii.

It is a place for joggers and walkers to enjoy the scenic view. The area is not as crowded on weekdays and can be a great spot to get some exercise.

The park has plenty of facilities like restrooms, showers, picnic tables and food concessions. There are also many tennis courts and a yacht club.

Hawaii Medical Center

Hawaii Five-0 was filmed on location in Honolulu for the majority of its 12 seasons. This included exterior shooting at a number of locations, including Ali’iolani Hale and Iolani Palace, as well as the Bayer Estate.

During filming, the show also incorporated a lot of Hawaiian history and culture into its storylines. In particular, the series featured a strong emphasis on the fight for Hawaiian sovereignty. This has resulted in a number of public service announcements that raise awareness about the issue.

Kahala Hotel

Kahala Hotel is an exclusive luxury resort located on a private beach in Honolulu. It offers a variety of accommodation options and other amenities that will ensure an unforgettable stay for its guests.

The hotel is a famous gathering place for Honolulu’s local society. It has a number of restaurants that serve up fine cuisines that will make you feel as though you are in the Pacific Rim.

Whether you’re an old fan or a newcomer, it’s worth doing some Hawaii Five-0 filming location-spotting! Among the most famous locations of the show is Diamond Head Crater.

It’s also worth visiting downtown Honolulu to see the historical Ali’iolani Hale, which served as Five-0 headquarters for the first eight seasons. It’s now a museum and home of the Hawaii State Supreme Court.
