If you're in the area, make sure to stop by the Millarville Farmers' Market and Race Track! This is where all of the horse-racing and rodeo scenes from the show are filmed.

Heartland is one of Canada's most popular and longest-running one-hour dramas. The series is a testament to the power of good writing, efficient shooting, and beautiful horses.

The equestrians on the show are not a group of trained stunt doubles, but real-life horsemen who have extensive equestrian experience and knowledge. Amber Marshall (playing Amy Fleming) and Alisha Newton (playing Georgie Lane) are both accomplished riders in real life, with Marshall owning several horses herself.

Many of the horses on Heartland are owned by John Scott, a renowned wrangler and producer who has worked on several major Hollywood movies. In addition to Heartland, he's wrangled horses for The Lord of the Rings, The Revenant, Unforgiven, and more.

Fans of Heartland can visit High River, where the show is filmed. The small town is located about thirty minutes south of Calgary, and offers a variety of activities and scenic sights to see. Visitors can also visit the Museum of the Highwood, where they can learn more about Canadian history and see props and costumes from Heartland.

The equestrian-themed show Heartland is filmed at a number of locations in Alberta, Canada. Much of the interior scenes are filmed at a studio in Calgary, while the exterior shots are filmed at a private ranch south of Calgary, near Millarville.

The series is based in the fictional town of Hudson, which is sub-titled High River, just south of Calgary. The quaint town is home to several gorgeous buildings that are used for filming, including the red gazebo at George Lane Memorial Park, which hosts Amy and Georgie’s high school graduation.
