Hell's Kitchen is one of the most popular reality shows on television. With Gordon Ramsay's fiery personality and his masterful skill as a chef, it's no wonder why it has become so popular.

Although the show is filmed for only eight weeks, you can actually visit the set in West Hollywood and experience what it's like to be a contestant. But first, you have to go through a lengthy process to get in.

Locations

Hell's Kitchen is a global hit reality TV show hosted by world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay. The series pits aspiring chefs in a fierce competition against each other to be the last chef standing and win a cash prize.

It is filmed at several locations, including Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Other locations include Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe and Washington, D.C.

Season 1 & 2

The first two seasons of hells kitchen were filmed at the former FOX affiliate KCOP studio in Los Angeles, CA. The studio is still in use today, although the restaurant used on the show has been moved to Caesar's Palace.

The next two seasons were filmed at the new Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, NV. The restaurant is owned by Gordon Ramsay and is designed to look like the set of the show.

Seasons 3 & 4

Hell’s Kitchen Seasons 3 & 4 were filmed in Los Angeles, California. In seasons 19 & 20, the show’s location was moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show’s location was changed in order to bring more attention to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants in Las Vegas. Despite the shift, some things remain the same.

Seasons 5 & 6

Hell's Kitchen has filmed at a number of locations over the years, but season 5 and 6 took place in Las Vegas. While some of the footage was filmed at Ramsay's first Hell's Kitchen restaurant at Harrah's Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, the majority was shot at Caesars Palace Entertainment Studio located a few minutes off the Strip.

This cycle aired in May 2021 on Fox Network, and featured 18 contestants under the age of 24.

Seasons 7 & 8

During seasons 7 and 8, Hells Kitchen was filmed at a studio located on Labrea Avenue in California. In addition, the show filmed at Ramsay’s iconic restaurant.

Season 19 premieres in January, and it will be filmed for the first time outside of Los Angeles. Fans will love the new location, which gives the show some great opportunities.

Seasons 9 & 10

Hell's Kitchen is filmed at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The restaurant is one of many in the world that feature the now-iconic red and blue kitchens, but this location is especially famous for being the first to do so.

This season of the show features a lot of unique ways to eliminate chefs. It was also a female-focused season, which made it particularly memorable.

Seasons 11 & 12

Hell's Kitchen season 11 & 12 are filmed at the movies at the series. While several shots are filmed inside of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, the majority of production footage is shot at Caesar's Palace Entertainment Studio.

As part of the show, the competitors are challenged to make the best dishes imaginable. The food they produce can be found in the dinner menus and modern lunch options at Gordon Ramsay's Las Vegas restaurants.

Seasons 13 & 14

Seasons 13 and 14 of hells kitchen are filmed at Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant located at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. They're the first seasons to be filmed outside of Los Angeles since the show began.

The chefs are filmed cooking in front of a live audience and scored on a 1-5 scale. There's also a blind taste test. The winner gets a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay's pub and grill in Atlantic City.

Seasons 15 & 16

Season 15 was filmed January 15, 2016 to April 29, 2016. Gordon Ramsay was the judge, Marino Monferrato was the Maitre d' and Christina Wilson was the sous chef for the red team.

In this season, 18 contestants competed to become the winner and the head chef at BLT Steak in Bally's Las Vegas. The winner was Ryan from Traverse City, Michigan.

Seasons 17 & 18

Seasons 17 & 18 were filmed back to back in April 2018. Hell's Kitchen is moving outside of Los Angeles for the first time since Season 5.

In this special "Battle of the Ages" episode, eight veteran chefs compete against eight newcomers. The winner will earn an executive chef position at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen Restaurant in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
