Pier 36
Hope Street is a warm-hearted detective drama set in a fictional town on the beautiful Irish seaside of Donaghadee. The series revolves around Leila Hussain, a Muslim officer who works with the local police department and helps solve crimes in her community.
One of the most memorable settings that the show uses is a small seafood restaurant on Donaghadee Harbour called Pier 36. It’s a family-run business that focuses on the traditional Irish style of dining, serving seafood dishes as well as Copeland gin products.
Since opening, the restaurant has won a host of awards. It was voted one of the top 6 fish restaurants in the UK by The Guardian and is also a Taste of Ulster member.
Concepta’s Bed & Breakfast
Located in the heart of Donaghadee, Concepta’s Bed & Breakfast is a delightfully charming family-owned establishment that makes for a wonderful stay. It has a fabulous location and is well appointed with the latest technology to make your stay comfortable. The best part is that you can enjoy the scenery as you sip a glass of wine or coffee and read your favourite book.
Concepta’s Bed & Breakfast is the place to be if you are looking for an authentic Northern Ireland experience. The award winning bed & breakfast is run by Concepta O’Hare (Brid Brennan), mother of the town’s only police officer, Detective Constable Finn O’Hare. She is a self-described expert in all things local and is the perfect person to ask for a good place to get a great dinner or a tasty bite to eat in town. As a bonus, you can check out the sights and sounds of Donaghadee from your very own front porch.
The Commodore Restaurant
