where is judge judy filmed

The television series 'Judge Judy' is filmed inside a courtroom set. Many people think that the show is filmed in New York since Judge Shiendlin was a former prosecutor and Manhattan family court judge.

The show is filmed entirely at Sunset Bronson Studios on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. It is situated next to the set used for 'Hot Bench', another legal television series created and produced by Sheindlin.

Culver Studios

Culver Studios has been the home of many movies and TV shows. It has hosted iconic Hollywood productions like Gone With the Wind and King Kong, as well as television shows including Lassie, Hogan’s Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, and Cougar Town.

It also served as the setting for the hit TV series Scrubs, with sets built for Winston University and New Sacred Heart Hospital on the studio lot. Other filming locations include the Hollywood Drive-In theater, where John Travolta’s “Stranded at the Drive-In” sequence in Grease was filmed.

Since the beginning, Culver Studios has been the location for many films and television shows. It has spawned the careers of many famous movie and television stars, as well as played a significant role in the development of Culver City.

Sunset Bronson Studios

The show's main set is filmed at Sunset Bronson Studios, a media and entertainment campus in Hollywood. The studio was the original home of Warner Brothers Studios and is associated with the early development of the motion picture industry during the silent and sound eras.

It is now owned by Hudson Capital LLC, (now Hudson Pacific Properties) and is located in close proximity to the adjacent Columbia Pictures studio lot. The former site of KTLA Studios and Tribune Studios, Sunset Bronson Studios is now one of Hollywood's most historic and popular production locations for television and movie production.

Judge Judy was a highly successful court show that spanned 25 years and produced more than 700 episodes. It was the highest rated court show for all but two seasons, and was one of the most viewed daytime television series in history.

The show's star, Judge Judy Sheindlin, was originally from New York and worked as a family court judge in her hometown for several years before her series began. The show often featured images of Sheindlin's hometown in the commercial bumpers, and a New York state flag positioned behind her chair during the incoming and outgoing bumpers.

Amazon Studios

The new untitled Judge Judy court show is filmed at Amazon Studios in Culver City. It is a significant move for the top-rated daytime strip and one of the most famous television personalities, who has commanding audiences in syndication.

In her 25th and final season in syndication, Sheindlin has been earning $47 million per year and owns the rights to her archive through a deal with CBS. Sheindlin also created and produces syndicated court show Hot Bench, which is distributed by CBS TV Distribution.

Sheindlin’s latest project is a streaming original that will be available on IMDb TV, Amazon’s free streaming service. It’s the first court program on a streaming platform and is believed to be the biggest initial order ever for a streamer.

It’s not clear how much the new show will cost to produce, or how many episodes will be ordered, but analysts expect it to be a large initial run. It also represents an experiment for streaming, as it aims to replicate daytime TV’s traditional rhythm of releasing new episodes five days a week.

New York City

New York City is home to many iconic landmarks that are sure to make any trip to NYC unforgettable. From Times Square to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, there's something for everyone here.

In addition to being a city full of culture, New York has a vibrant nightlife scene. The bright lights of Times Square are the pulsing heart of the city that never sleeps, while Broadway is where you can see world-famous musicals and other live shows.

Judge Judy is a native of New York and has a home in the city. However, she frequently travels to Los Angeles to film her show.

The show was filmed in New York for the first few seasons, but from 2014 to 2021 it was shot in Los Angeles. It was filmed in an old courthouse that had been converted into a film set.
