where is love island filmed 2021

The ITV2 hit is back for another series of sun, romance and drama, with a new hoard of contestants to swoon over. And while the villa looks a little different this time around, it still has plenty of classic Love Island features.

The villa's garden is a haven for outdoor entertaining, with a pool and fire pit for the house guests to chat around. There's also a selfie mirror, swing seat and lots of neon.

Mallorca

The popular reality TV show is back with a brand new set and a bunch of fresh faces. The cast includes international dressage rider Gemma Owen, microbiologist Dami Hope and Italian hunk Davide Sanclimenti.

The cast will be making themselves at home in the Spanish island of Mallorca, where over 60 cameras will capture their every move. This is Love Island's first return to Spain since season one, which was filmed in the Santanyi region of Majorca for two series.

It was then moved to a rented villa in the north-east of the island, near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar. The villa featured a 20m swimming pool and a beach hut where the cast could speak to each other.

However, the villa was sold in March 2022 for PS3M and is no longer occupied by Love Island. The luxury villa, known as Casa Amor, is now available for rent. It comes with a private chef and chauffeur. It costs between PS4,572 and PS7,417 per week.

South Africa

The show follows a group of singles, called islanders, who live in isolation in a villa, constantly under video surveillance, in an attempt to find love. They are constantly forced to "couple up" with someone else, or be dumped from the villa if they don't find a partner within eight weeks.

The show has been filmed in various villas around the world but this year the islanders will be staying at a stunning new location in South Africa. A supersized luxury villa in Franschhoek is set to be the new home of this year's Love Island cast and the production team have already started working on the estate.

The villa features a heart-shaped entrance, three swimming pools and bedrooms that are oozing luxury. And with temperatures reportedly expected to hit 30 degrees this January it's sure to be a popular destination for British tourists.

USA

Love Island is an iconic show that has wowed audiences across the globe. With its sexy, raunchy challenges and stunning tropical surroundings, Love Island never fails to excite viewers every summer.

The US version of Love Island is on the horizon, with the show hitting CBS on July 7. Fans can watch the 90-minute season premiere on Wednesday, July 7, at 9:30 pm ET/PT.

This new season will feature naughtier content, with a few naughty games and sexier challenges for the Islanders to face. The show will also be filmed in a different location than before, and the cast are set to spend their time filming alongside the California coast in Santa Barbara.

This season, Peacock Original Love Island from ITV Entertainment will be hotter than ever as Islanders will pair up in a new surroundings and compete in naughtier games and sexier challenges. During their stay, temptations will rise and drama will be on full display as Islanders are forced to decide whether they want to remain with their current partners or "recouple" with someone new.

Australia

The Aussie version of Love Island is coming back to Nine in 2021, but this time, they're filming in our own backyard. A new villa has been built in Federal, which is located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.

As with every season, a group of sexy singles will be locked up in a gorgeous villa for the duration of the show, where they will try to find a partner. They'll also compete against each other in challenges and pair up with other couples to avoid being eliminated.

The premise is simple – each week, the competitors must decide whether to pair up with a different couple and remain in the villa, or to recouple with the same one. During the series, the public vote for a winning couple and each person in that couple will receive a prize of $50,000 Australian dollars.
