where is rock the block 2 filmed

A brand new HGTV show is hitting the airwaves, where four pairs of home renovators compete to transform a house. It's a competition with major perks.

The winning team gets serious bragging rights and a street name for their home. But where is the show filmed?

Paulding County

HGTV's hit show rock the block 2 was filmed in Paulding County. The show is about four teams of famous designers who renovate new homes and compete for the best home design.

The teams get a $225,000 budget and they have six weeks to make their house as attractive as possible. The team with the most appraised value of their home wins.

What's fascinating about Paulding County is that it has a rich history of Civil War battles. During the war, Union General William T. Sherman attempted to take over Dallas, but was repelled by Confederate General Joseph Johnston and his troops.

Located in the heart of Paulding County, Dallas is a charming town that boasts a historic downtown, national retailers and exceptional parks. Residents can also access world-class healthcare at WellStar Paulding Hospital, which is located right in their community. The area is also home to Atlanta's #1 master-planned community, Seven Hills of Dallas.

Santa Clarita

Rock the block is a popular HGTV home renovation competition show that pits four teams of HGTV experts against each other in a high-stakes battle to renovate identical homes. Each team is given a budget of $175,000 and 4 weeks to complete their project, competing to add the most property value to their house.

HGTV chose to film season 1 of the show in Santa Clarita, California, where they used four houses that were built by local construction company Pardee Homes. The properties were located in the Aliento community in the Arista neighborhood.

The street on which the houses are situated is called Dabbs Bridge Road, and according to Zillow, the average home selling price in that area is $500,000, but some of those houses can go up to $900,000.

The winning team gets their names memorialized out front on a street sign, plus a 100,000-meal donation to Turn Up! Fight Hunger, in honor of their victory.

Heron Lakes

If you are looking for a beautiful lake community, then Heron Lakes is the place for you. We are one of Northern Colorado's fastest growing communities and offer a work/life balance unlike any other in the area.

HGTV's popular home renovation show Rock the Block 2 is filmed in Berthoud at Heron Lakes. Ty Pennington hosts the show, which features four teams of designers and contractors who compete to renovate identical properties with a budget of $250,000 in just six weeks. The team that adds the most value wins bragging rights and a street named in their honor.

Heron Lake State Park is a scenic lake area that is ideal for kayaking, sailing and windsurfing. It also offers amazing fishing for record-size trout and kokanee salmon, with several campgrounds lining the shore.

Heron Lakes is also home to a beautiful all-sports lake, an island event center, 4.2 miles of trails and a boutique winery. Its location is unparalleled in the area, allowing for close access to parks, shops and restaurants while also offering a beautiful natural setting.

Atlanta

One of HGTV's most popular shows, rock the block, follows four teams of design experts as they try to transform identical model homes into the ultimate suburban oasis. The show has become a hit among fans and is filmed in different locations each season.

The first season of the HGTV competition was filmed in Santa Clarita, California, but it is now based in Atlanta. The four houses chosen to be filmed are located in the new home community of Aliento's Arista neighborhood, designed by Pardee Homes Los Angeles.

Several HGTV stars have made the move to Atlanta for filming, including Mike Holmes (Holmes on Homes) and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent (The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project), David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks (My Lottery Dream Home) and winners Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt (100 Day Dream Home). The four teams will be battling it out for bragging rights, a street named after them and the chance to win a $225,000 prize.
