Interestingly, it was a challenge to find a kitchen stove in Greece that looked like an American stove, but production designer Inbal Weinberg managed to source a couple of them and then shipped them across the ocean to the island. The team then used them to create a few of the interior scenes in The Lost Daughter.
The rest of the movie was shot at various locations throughout the town of Spetses, including the Anargyrios & Korgialenios School of Spetses and the Zogeria Restaurant. The Anargyrios & Korgialenios school is a traditional Greek school that features beautiful marble floors and ceilings and was used to film several key scenes in the movie. It is also a popular tourist destination and visitors can even book tickets in advance to watch movies at the beautiful Cine Titania.
