Philip Johnson was an American architect born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 8, 1906. Furthermore, his full name was Philip Cortelyou Johnson. Better recognized for his modern and postmodern architecture work, Philip was awarded AIA Gold Medal in 1978 and Pritzker Prize in 1979. Moreover, his reputation was enhanced when he designed his pretty residence known as the "Glass House." Philip, a well-known architect, died in New Canaan, Connecticut, at his Glass House on January 25, 2005. In addition, he was ninety-eight at the time of death.
