Mark Zuckerberg is a tech entrepreneur and philanthropist best known for co-founding Facebook in 2004. Born in 1984 in New York, Zuckerberg showed interest in computer programming from an early age. He created several software programs while in high school and enrolled at Harvard University to study computer science. It was at Harvard where he co-founded Facebook with a group of friends, and the platform quickly grew to become one of the world's largest social networks. The 2010 movie The Social Network details the events of creating Facebook. It stars Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg. Despite facing numerous controversies over the years, Zuckerberg has remained at the helm of Facebook. He has continued to innovate, launching several new products and features, including the Oculus virtual reality headset. "I just think that VR and AR are going to be a really big deal."

Zuckerberg’s home portfolio includes 10 homes throughout California, as well as multiple holdings in Hawaii. His main residence is located in Palo Alto, which he purchased in 2011 for nearly $7 million. In the subsequent years he has purchased multiple homes surrounding his main home, with plans to demolish and rebuild. That’s one way to avoid nosy neighbors peering into your home. It’s safe to say that Mark doesn’t just own property in Palo Alto, but more a compound. Much to the dismay of his neighbors, who have often complained of the noise and parking inconvenience during construction. Makes me wonder why Mark didn’t just buy a massive amount of land and build. Lord knows he can afford it.
This home was built in 1903. Despite being well over 100 years old, and seeing numerous renovations, the home still retains a classic charm. From the white paint, large front porch, and brick accents. To the hardwood flooring, recessed lighting and vaulted ceilings. The flowers and various greenery surrounding the home also allows for serenity. There are many areas in and out of the home to enjoy the serenity. From a sunroom, to the outdoor fireplace, to the classic wraparound porch. This may be a multi-million dollar home, but I have to say, it’s not the type of mansion that I pictured Mark to live in. I pictured more stainless steel, cold concrete, and soaring high ceilings. This home is extremely cozy and inviting.

The exterior of the home includes numerous porches and steps leading to the front, side, and back entrance. It includes brick, stone, and white wooden railings. A classic chimney sits on the highest part of the roof. As well as overhead lighting fixtures above the front porch. Perfect for enjoying an outdoor nighttime glass of wine while unwinding. An inground pool is the cherry on top.

I am in love with this kitchen. The pale green cabinets, along with the matching pale green refrigerator, mixed with the light hardwood flooring and soft overhead lighting brings an attainable peace. The ceiling is vaulted and painted white. There is a large rectangle center island with wicker chairs to eat a casual breakfast.

Inside the living room, there is a cozy nook where a black grand piano sits. Right up against a floor to ceiling window with large trees and immense sunlight. To the right of the living room, there is also a little sunroom. Perfect for enjoying a good book or a nice hot cup of tea I’d imagine.

I’m not sure how you would, but if you ever got sick of relaxing on the charming porch or cozy sunroom, you could also sit outside and enjoy another amazing spot. In the back of the house, there is a large patio, complete with a slate painted arched roof. A working brick fireplace, along with cushioned outdoor seating is the perfect touch for those chilly winter nights in Palo Alto.
