Mila Kunis is an American actress, born in Ukraine in 1983. She started her career in the entertainment industry as a child actor, and gained popularity in the late 1990s with her role as Jackie Burkhart on the television series "That '70s Show". Kunis has since appeared in a variety of films, including "Black Swan", "Ted", and "Bad Moms". My personal favorite role of hers is voicing Meg Griffin on the long running animated series Family Guy. She’s had the role since 1999. In 2015, she married her “That ‘70s Show” co-star and onscreen love interest, Ashton Kutcher. The two have since had two children together.

This eco-friendly farmhouse has a long history. It was originally built in 1946 and featured two bedrooms and one bathroom. The land and property was purchased by Ashton back in 2007 for $8 million, although he didn’t seem to do much with it at the time. Right before the pandemic hit Ashton and Mila decided it was time to build a forever home. They opted to use the land, and build a more sustainable home that they could raise their children in. They knew they wanted it to feel cozy, not cold. Large, but inviting. They opted to work with architect Howard Backen of Backen & Gillam Architects. As well as interior designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co. After almost five years and many Pinterest boards, their vision was complete. Their modern farmhouse has incredible features, both new and old. 19 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling glass windows, and a 10 foot chandelier brought over from their previous home together. Decorated with earth tones like taupe and olive, modern furnishings, and eclectic light fixtures, their home looks amazing. Nicknamed KuKu Farms, for Kunis and Kutcher, you almost forget that you’re in Los Angeles by the looks of it!

Aside from the main house, there also sits the “barn house".” Or “guest barn.” It’s a two bedroom one bathroom barn converted into a living space. Nestled right next to the pool, with 19 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling glass windows on either side, it’s a great place to relax with friends, play games, or have company stay over. The centerpiece of the space is the gigantic 10 foot crystal chandelier that hangs from the ceiling. The piece was something that Mila and Ashton had in their previous home. Rustic farmhouse or not, it was important for them to incorporate this beauty.

The kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Modern while rustic. Masculine while feminine. Dark hardwood floors match the wooden arched ceiling beams. Hanging glass light fixtures hang low from the ceilings, in a variety of shapes. The dark painted cabinets and center island contrast beautifully with the natural sunlight that seeps through the tall glass windows.

What home wouldn’t be complete without a pool? In the backyard, beside the guest barn, sits a large rectangle pool. Surrounded by sunshine and lush greenery, and also a little cabana. The cabana is perfect for BBQ, sitting and relaxing, or to escape the hot sun for a moment.
One of the bedrooms in the guest barn has a really cool feature. Besides rustic wooden beams, there is also a window cubby that you are able to look directly at the crystal chandelier, and down over the whole space. You almost feel like royalty looking down at everything from your private bedroom.
